Conference – annual cancer care conferences discussing all types of cancers that particularly are high in African American communities. The conference goal is to increase early detection through screening and awareness regarding cancer diagnosis and treatment in the African American population to improve medical and psychological outcomes.
African American Cancer Task Team (AACCTT) formulated in April 2009 to bring a comprehensive conference for the public as well as the health professional to be able to communicate the importance of early detection for the five (5) leading cancers that impact and affect African Americans. The cancers topics: breast, prostate, cervical, colon and lung.
